⭐ Positive Policing Story – Rapid Arrest & Safeguarding Successies

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

CANBURY officers demonstrated outstanding teamwork and swift operational response following a 999 call reporting a domestic GBH where the suspect had left the victim unconscious before fleeing the scene.
Officers were already patrolling nearby and immediately made their way to the location. Within minutes of arrival — and after a brief foot chase — the suspect was located, apprehended, and arrested for GBH.
Their quick thinking, decisive action, and excellent coordination ensured that:

• The suspect was swiftly detained, preventing further harm.
• The victim was safeguarded and received medical attention without delay.
• A high risk offender was taken off the streets within minutes.

This incident highlights the professionalism, vigilance, and dedication of CANBURY officers, whose actions directly contributed to protecting a vulnerable victim and securing a positive policing outcome.
A fantastic team effort and an excellent example of officers making a real difference.
